Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania

A nonprofit organization

Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania provides services, support and education for those afflicted with Parkinson's disease and their families and supports medical research to discover the cause and cure.

For most people with Parkinson disease, exercise can be an important tool for managing the disease. The Parkinson Wellness Program provides a welcoming place to participate in professionally led classes tailored to the needs of people with Parkinson disease. Leaders and fellow participants provide the motivation and accountability that are critical to establishing and maintaining healthy new habits. The classes also provide a good venue for sharing information, experiences and emotional support.

We also directly facilitate and curate 10 local support groups in Western PA and beyond, and serve as a resource to 26 groups.

Our Annual Conference, Living Well with Parkinson's is held each fall with a dynamic range of speakers and interactive workships that inspire and educate.
