PARTNERSHIP FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLES-PIPES INTERNATIONAL

A nonprofit organization

OUR HISTORY AND PROGRAMS:
PIPES International was founded in the United States in 2011 to serve indigenous and vulnerable people groups. We serve indigenous pygmies, orphans, and vulnerable children in Africa and Asia. We also serve immigrants, refugees, and low-income families in the United States.

One of our most impactful programs is education development. PIPES focuses on building solid educational structures and providing quality education by partnering with local communities. We believe every indigenous child deserves access to quality education.

In the St. Louis region, we empower immigrant and refugee children to improve their educational outcomes and increase transition from high school to college. We mentor teens through the Kingdom Kids Program and prepare them for a successful career and responsible citizenship. The team leader of the Kingdom Kids Program has now secured a place at Johns Hopkins University.

We also build schools and renovate excising schools to improve school facilities among indigenous communities.
We currently operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Pakistan, and the United States.
In 2011, we built the first class in DR Congo to accommodate 30 indigenous students. Since then, the school has grown to over 600 students. In 2020, we had the first indigenous pygmies graduate from our school.

We plan to build a second school in Idjwi Island (DR Congo) to help indigenous children and orphans access quality education on this island.

We also support teacher development through university education and in-service training.
