Pacifica Education Foundation

This year, we are raising funds for two exciting new programs:

• Weekly music instruction for all 4th and 5th grade students in the Pacifica School District:  Studies have proven that children's participation in music programs results in increased intelligence and better study skills, increases children’s cognitive development and improves test scores.  The 4th/5th graders LOVE their new music teacher!  As the program gains fundraising traction, PEF hopes to expand the music program to all grades, K-8th.
• Computer Science developed specifically for our middle school grades: To bridge the computer science gap, PEF would pay for all devices needed, adding to all schools' technology resources. Teachers would be provided with professional development, a curriculum, and in-class coaching. Our pilot program for 6th graders in 2015-16 is a great success.  Now we want to expand it for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders!

PEF will also continue to fund middle school band via Music Matters in Pacifica (MMiP) and the popular fifth grade slam poetry program.

Your donation to PEF will provide district-wide funding to benefit all children. Our programs are chosen based on input from parents, educators, and administrators of the Pacifica School District.

Your donation will have full impact because as an all-volunteer foundation, PEF applies more than 95% of all donations to our program initiatives.  Together, we can raise funds to prepare our kids for the 21st Century.
