Our Mission 

At Paige’s Pantry we believe that purposeful work is important to a person’s overall quality of life and well being. According to the Bureau of labor statistics, an estimated 81% of adults (18+) with developmental disabilities do not have a paid job in the community. Paige’s Pantry seeks to provide meaningful on the job pre-vocational skills training skills to individuals with disabilities. 

This community often lacks access to targeted and specialized job resources and training, making it difficult to learn the ‘soft’ skills that are often overlooked by traditional employment programs. Paige’s Pantry provides an opportunity to work on these soft skills by providing real world work experience to improve job skills including: communication skills, problem solving, the ability to follow directions and time management. It is our hope that by enhancing a person’s job skills we can improve the chance for long term employability of our trainees. They can then seek competitive integrated employment and enjoy the autonomy and purpose that being part of the workforce brings.
