Palace
Youth Theatre (PYT) provides children (grades 2-12) with the opportunity to learn,
perform and grow through their participation in live theatre.

PYT programming
includes Palace Youth Theatre, Palace Teen Company, Palace Apprentice Company,
Palace Professional Theatre for Children, Palace Academy and the Palace
Theatre Ticket Program (tickets donated to students).

2025 Palace Youth Theatre Summer Camps, for students in grades 2-12, consist of three one-week and three two-week sessions in June, July and August. Additionally, due to the demand for camp offerings for younger students, we’ve added three half-day camps for those aged 5 – 8 this year.

PYT Camps enhance the cognitive, social and personal development of children with an emphasis on collaboration, confidence and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.

Unfortunately, for many families, the expense of summer camp is prohibitive; however, to ensure the opportunity for students to experience live arts and learning is accessible to all, the Palace offers a need-based financial aid program that covers 25-100% of camp fees.

With more campers joining us this summer than ever before, a gift made to the Palace Theatre Trust, will allow us to provide even more financial assistance to deserving children so they can participate in one of our summer camp sessions.

In 2024 alone, over $34,000 was provided to our PYT students in scholarships and financial aid.

And, we’re proud to say that no student or camper is ever turned away for an inability to pay.

Who We Are

Established in 1915 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Palace Theatre is a cornerstone of NH's nonprofit arts and entertainment sector. It is the state's most active, full-time professional performing arts center.

The mission of the Palace Theatre Trust is to enrich the region's cultural life and serve as a community resource through its stewardship of the historic Palace Theatre. In doing so, the Palace Theatre provides a broad range of high quality, live performances as well as educational opportunities for performers and audiences of all ages.

The principal activities are to provide enriching cultural events in Manchester's premier and sole historic performing arts venue, which center on the in-house production of nationally-recognized Broadway musicals and original shows; extensive programs for young people; visiting music, dance and performance events; plus partnerships with other nonprofits that use the theatre for their fundraising events. There is constant tension to preserve the charm and beauty of the theatre while maintaining the building, coupled with organizing compelling programming and hosting thousands of patrons each week.
