While I was teaching civics lesson to the sixth grade students in a primary school located in an underserved village in Nigeria on 3/4/13, I mentioned the word "computer". Several faces went blank. I then asked how many of them have ever seen a computer. Two out of 22 students raised their hands, and one of those two did not even know what a computer is used for. THE SCHOOL ALSO HAS NO LIBRARY. Building a library in this primary school, staffing it, and providing equipments and books including e-books is one of our projects in the village. We will also purchase textbooks and support teacher education to strengthen the Science and Math. programs. Your donation for this cause, which is tax deductible is greatly appreciated.
