Pandas International

Mission

The best scientific estimates place the number at only appoximately 1,864 wild Giant Pandas. Pandas International was formed to aid in saving the Giant Pandas from almost certain extinction. Pandas International is unique as it is exclusively devoted to saving the panda through research and preservation efforts, unlike other organizations which serve many endangered species.

Programs

Pandas International provides direct support to the Panda Reserves located in their native habitat. Major projects have included a VetScan blood chemistry analyzer to perform multi blood test, incubators for cubs, supplies for the nursery, computer equipment, digital cameras, basic hospital supplies, vaccines and medicine. Pandas International has an extensive adoption program to provide funds to care for the "adopted" panda. Pandas International also focues on education to increase public awareness of the pandas as a highly endangered species.
