OUR PURPOSE

The Panhandle Great 25 Nurses Foundation was created to celebrate and support the nurses who care for our families, our communities, and our future. Each year, the Foundation honors 25 exceptional nurses across the Texas Panhandle and awards scholarships to aspiring nursing students pursuing entry-level or advanced degrees.

WHY NURSES MATTER

Nurses stand at the center of healthcare in our region. They comfort, advocate, innovate, and lead in every setting—emergency rooms, rural clinics, hospitals, community health centers, patient homes, and classrooms. The Foundation exists to recognize these dedicated professionals and to invest in the next generation of nurse leaders through scholarships and community support.

HONORING DR. VALERIE KIPER

This year carries special meaning as we honor the life and legacy of our founder, Dr. Valerie Kiper. She spent her career shaping future nurses as a leader, educator, and advocate. Her steady guidance and deep commitment to nursing education influenced countless careers, and her passion continues through the nurses and students she mentored.
