Parent Aid's mission is to strengthen families and prevent child abuse.  All of our programs are dedicated to our mission.

In 1990, several caring groups and individuals came together to stop the child abuse epidemic and formed Parent Aid.  Since that time, Parent Aid has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children.

How?

Our complimentary programs work to prevent child abuse.

We utilize the evidence-based SafeCare model in our home visiting program.  SafeCare focuses on 3 core modules which include Parent-Child Interaction (parenting skills), Family Health and Home Safety.  Combined, families who come through our program have improved parenting skills, enhanced family communication, stronger family health, safer homes and so much more.

For our Family Educational Outreach program, we offer 6 week parenting classes using the nationally recognized Active Parenting curriculum.  We also offer one-time family enrichment workshops designed to meet specific challenges of families here in our community.
