Honor Thy Teacher is a meaningful and practical way to recognize an
educator’s outstanding service. Your year-end donation will express your
appreciation of a teacher’s commitment to our students and will also help
address needs of NHS teachers that are unmet by the school budget. Your gift honors a professional at our school, and will provide tangible support in NHS classrooms next year.

Funds from HONOR THY TEACHER donations make it possible for the PTO to respond each year to teachers’ requests for supplies and teaching tools. Since 2011, this annual fundraising effort has generated more than $20,000, making possible the purchase of science lab supplies, graphing calculators and batteries, books, headphones, cameras, and a new bass drum for the marching band. The generosity of NHS families has also helped fund grants to teachers and staff for field trips, wood shop equipment and supplies, mural art projects, student art exhibits, and college readiness programs.

NHS faculty and staff deeply appreciate these expressions of support from the NHS community.

include your student’s name and which staff and faculty you’d like to
recognize. If you want to donate in the name of more than one student, please make a second donation in the same way.

During the last week of school, the PTO will inform honorees of the names of students and families who have honored them. We’ll also report campaign results in HampHighlights at the end of June and in September.
