Valley Haven Camp | Parson of the Hills Foundation

Our passion is Jesus Christ... His Gospel. His Cross. His Grace. His Kingdom. Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center is located on 175 acres of beautiful, wooded land full of winding creeks, open fields, and mountain views. Established in the 1960s as Parson of the Hills Foundation, our non profit 501(c)3 operates as Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center. Our mission is to provide a peaceful place of rest where people experience renewal in Jesus Christ.  

Throughout the year we accomplish this mission by: 

1) Sponsored Gospel centered camps for under served youth in the Catawba Valley region.

2) Providing a restful 175 acre "Gospel space" for church and group retreats. Many churches we host come from economically challenged regions. For this reason, we intentionally offer extremely affordable retreats to serve these churches in this much needed way. 

3) Offering pastoral care and Gospel centered teaching to those who are with us for group retreats or personal times of restoration.

We are a simple, relational, authentic, Gospel centered place of refuge. One of our core values is affordability. We recognize that for groups to get away to cultivate intimacy with Christ, build community or experience restoration - they must be able to afford to do so. Because of this core conviction, Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center strives to maintain a simple, affordable fee structure that is focused on sustainability so that we can continue to provide a place of retreat and refuge for those seeking it.
