Donate to the Maize Education Foundation!  Funds raised by the Foundation stay in the district to benefit students and are tax deductible!

The mission of the Maize Education Foundation is to enhance excellence in education for all students. The Maize Education Foundation is committed to providing supplemental funding for educational projects and activities that align with the district's long range plan, Journey to Excellence and that might not otherwise be funded by the District due to limited financial resources. Funds will focus on:

• Technology Grants for hardware and software to further support the District's goal to help students be competitive in our global economy.
• Instructional Grants for projects that align with the District's long range plan to further promote student learning.
• Student Enrichment Grants to provide students with learning experiences to meet their educational goals.

Since 2009, the Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in grants and gifts to programs that reach students ages birth through high school throughout Maize Schools. This assistance is even more vital given current school funding concerns and recent budget cuts. Thanks to supporters like you, the Foundation has awarded these and other grants to Maize Schools:

• $12,119.70 for 30 iPad Touches to replace an aging set of high school science laptops.
• $6,500 to host a nationally recognized anti-bullying speaker visit in Fall 2014.
• $6,479.99 to create an elementary math resource room.
• $5,000 for a high school lifetime fi­tness program that teaches long-term health and wellness skills.
• $4,851.84 for elementary literary resources.
• $2,500 to help connect families with opportunities to come together and read.

Enhancing excellence is a joint responsibility. We host a Golf Tournament each year to raise funds!  We hope that friends and family of Maize students will consider making a financial gift to the Maize Education Foundation to do their part to help Maize students, teachers and administrators!

Every dollar counts! The majority of our donations are for less than $1000. Of these, many are less than $100, and yet the cumulative effect of these donations has been over $330,000 given to the Maize School District in the last 7 years.

Please help us fund as many grants as possible this year. The foundation typically receives over $150,000 in grant requests from teachers and staff at our schools, and we would like to fulfill as many of these grants as possible.
