Patrick Henry Family Services

Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes, founded in 1951, is a memorial to its namesake - Patrick Henry - whose words inspired his countrymen to struggle for independence and to pursue happiness. The early members of the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation wished to do something meaningful and enduring to remember a man who was not only a great patriot but also a loving father with many children and grandchildren. The result ultimately was Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes which has since transitioned to Patrick Henry Family Services. We have since diversified to become an organization that serves children in families in a variety of ways with a focus on removing barriers to family preservation whenever possible.

The mission of Patrick Henry Family Services is to build communities of faithful relationships that ensure children are safe, and families are restored. More specifically, we are spearheading an initiative in our community called Vision 30: By the end of 2030, all at-risk children in our region will be safe in their own family, or in another family setting with caregivers supported by a local faith community.

On the foundation of community, we strengthen families through: 

• Hope for Tomorrow Counseling uses a trauma-specific approach to address the needs of hurting children and families through traditional in-office therapy, home-based, and school-based clinical therapy.

• Family Care provides a circle of support to meet the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in crisis and before they reach the point of crisis to strengthen families holistically.

• Hat Creek Camp is a premier trauma-informed camp, giving kids from difficult backgrounds an amazing and accessible outdoor experience.

• Connect the community with those who need physical, emotional, and spiritual support using the platform CarePortal.
