Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center

Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center serves children by coordinating a multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse, child witness, and trafficking victims, as well as their non-offending family members. Patsy's House is a child-friendly, safe place where children come to talk with a forensic interviewer in a recorded interview about what, if anything, has happened, while investigators observe the interview. These statements are recorded in an effort to reduce the number of times a child has to tell his/her story. Counseling is offered to children and their non-offending family members, free of charge, from licensed professional counselors as well as support services from our Family Advocates. Patsy's House operates a main center in Wichita Falls and a satellite center in Bowie, serving children from Wichita, Archer, Clay, Montague, Hardeman, Foard, Baylor, Wilbarger, Knox & Cottle Counties. Patsy's House also provides courtesy services to children in the surrounding areas and other states as requested. These services are at no cost to the victim or their protective family.

Your donation will help provide services for children of abuse, neglect, child witnesses to crime, and human/sex trafficking, as well as their non-offending family members. These services include, but are not limited to:

· Forensic interview

· Snack, water bottle, blanket, & stuffed animal to each child after the forensic interview

· Counseling

· Family advocacy

· Court accompaniment

Bearing in mind the best interest of each individual child, the mission of Patsy’s House Children’s Advocacy Center is to reduce trauma to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members, and to work toward improving the justice system’s response to child abuse by uniting the efforts of public agencies and enlisting community support.
