The Baptist Health Foundation Richmond exists solely to support Baptist Health Richmond, a fully accredited, non-profit 501 (c) (3) hospital located in Richmond, Kentucky.  Our hospital’s mission is to exemplify our Christian heritage of providing quality healthcare services by enhancing the health of the people and communities we serve.  We have lived our mission every day for more than a century by caring for the people of Madison County and a large portion of Appalachian Kentucky.

Our project, Move Madison, came about when a concerned parent asked if we knew of a local program to help her teenager to lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle.  We didn’t, so we began working on one.  Move Madison will engage sixth graders across the county and offer students the opportunity to become more involved in a regularly scheduled program of action.  We will pilot our program during the spring semester and hope to take it district-wide next year.
