PAWsitively for the Animals

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 2015, PAWsitively for the Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization made up solely of volunteers who give their time to support pet adoption, pet rescue, low cost spay/neuter programs, a four-legged food bank, a veterinary assistance fund and education regarding responsible pet ownership. The purpose of PFTA is to raise, receive and distribute funds and donations (through "the Maddie Fund") to help sick, homeless or hungry animals. PFTA is dedicated to providing low income pet owners in NEPA with the food and veterinary care needed to keep a pet in its home rather than being surrendered to a shelter or euthanized due to financial limitations.

PFTA relies solely on the donations of the community, grants, sponsorships and our fundraising capabilities to raise money to support our mission.  The need for our services has grown significantly these past years.  With our unstable economy and the ever rising costs of just about everything, it is difficult for many to afford to care for their pets.  Simply put, PFTA strives to keep these pets and families together!

PFTA has helped feed and care for well over 5000+ pets in NEPA.

In 2024 alone, PFTA donated over $141,000 in food & veterinary care to area pets!

Please consider donating to "the Maddie Fund" today ... our pets are counting on us!
