The Pea Pod Family Resource Center is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization with an all volunteer Board of Directors. We opened our doors on June 1, 2015 with our first program, our Family Cooperative Playschool.
We rely on the support of generous donations to keep our programs running. Any amount is appreciated. Please help us reach our goal of $4,000.
Main program: Our Pea Pod play school, a family cooperative for children 18mo.-3.5 years old, builds community for families and provides needed parenting resources including a Parent Coach who works along side them in the playroom.

Background: We live in an age where social isolation is increasing. Therefore, creating a place where families can socialize, network, learn and play together, a place where they can form lasting friendships and find access to needed resources, is an important element for the emotional health of a family. We believe that strong families contribute to strong communities, which has a positive effect on our larger society.
Our Vision: The Pea Pod Family Resource Center is an intentional support and learning environment. It is a premier model for empowering families and a vital part of the greater community. By offering a wellspring of resources that are needed throughout the stages of parenting, we provide a foundation for raising healthy, active citizens while improving the wellbeing of our participating families. Grouped within one convenient location, resources include shared childcare, parenting workshops, wellness classes, networking, and social opportunities. By providing access to these resources and by encouraging peer education, we create ongoing enrichment opportunities, which enable families to flourish.
Our Core Values:
Respect~We value a safe and nurturing environment for families that help parents make choices about how to raise their children with others who are engaged and respectful.
Trust~We build trust by cultivating relationships in a secure environment with the goal of forming community through meaningful long-term friendships.
Accountability~We believe that active participation and responsibility to one another is a vital part of the stewardship and sustainability of the organization.
Collaboration~We value a community where everyone contributes according to their strengths, which enables families to learn from each other and benefit from a collective effort.
Joy~We believe that by doing the work of raising our children together we create an atmosphere of joy through a sense of belonging.
Your contribution will help ensure our continued success in making a difference in these formative childhood years.
