Pea Pod Family Resource Center, Inc.

The Pea Pod Family Resource Center, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization with an all volunteer Board of Directors. We opened our doors on June 1, 2015 with our first program, Pea Pod Playschool, which is a family co-op. In 2015, we began with 13 families. As of 2025, we have grown to 44 families which includes 4 different cohorts of kids which range in age from 18 months-5 years. 

We rely on the support of generous donations to keep our programs running. Any amount is appreciated. Please help us reach our goal of $4,550.

Our program: Our Pea Pod Playschool, a family cooperative for children 18mo.- 5 years old, builds community for families and provides needed parenting resources including a Parent Coach who works along side them in the playroom.

Background: We live in an age where social isolation is increasing. Therefore, creating a place where families can socialize, network, learn and play together, a place where they can form lasting friendships and find access to needed resources, is an important element for the emotional health of a family. We believe that strong families contribute to strong communities, which has a positive effect on our larger society.

Our Vision: The Pea Pod Family Resource Center, Inc. is an intentional learning environment that combines the nitty-gritty challenges of daily parenting with active adult education. We support and enable parents to develop into the calm, clear, confident leaders their children need in order to feel safe and secure. By offering support, resources, educational opportunities and community building, we help provide a foundation in which families thrive. Kids and parents learn social emotional skills, learn healthy conflict resolution and build important and meaningful relationships with each other.  By providing access to these resources and by encouraging peer education, we create ongoing enrichment opportunities which enable families to flourish.
