You can give to one of our Creative Gift Day Program locations, Residential, or Family Services, or if left blank, it will go to Peaceful Living's greatest need.
For those learning about Peaceful Living for the first time. We are a provider for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). At Peaceful Living, we help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities discover and realize their unique potential and become valued members of the community.
Our History & Mission
Established in the year 2000, Peaceful Living's roots are grounded in the Anabaptist values of the Mennonite Faith tradition. Founded with the vision of fostering a sense of belonging, Peaceful Living believes that every individual deserves to live in a community where they can express their talents, interests, and capabilities. Currently, Peaceful Living offers services in three areas: Creative Gifts Day Programs, Residential Services, and Family Services. The three Creative Gift Day Program sites sit in Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, respectively. Individuals split their time between enriching activities at the program and time spent volunteering, exploring, and integrating with their local community. Residential Services operates thirteen homes between Montgomery and Bucks counties, serving 32 individuals. We provide 24/7 services to the individuals who live with us, and many participate in one of our other two programs during the day. Our Family Services division helps prepare individuals for a meaningful life by spending their full day in the community with a staff member in a 3:1 or 1:1 ratio.
Over the years, Peaceful Living has touched countless lives. The dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters have made a significant impact on the individuals served. Today, we serve about 135 individuals each week. We continually adapt to meet the evolving needs of the community, ensuring that individuals have opportunities for growth and fulfillment. Peaceful Living recognizes that true belonging goes beyond physical spaces where our individuals can gather. It's about fostering a sense of purpose, acceptance, and genuine relationships. Our work is consistently striving to create a sense of belonging and community, one where everyone matters.
