Why Give to Peak 7?

At Peak 7, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to experience challenge, wonder, and their own greater potential in God’s creation—regardless of their background. Since 2006, our goal has been to bring transformative outdoor experiences to every youth in the PNW with guides who love the Lord and are speaking confidence into these kids. From rafting trips to wilderness backpacking, your gift gives youth life-changing moments that build leadership, faith, and resilience.

Story from a guide:

"Can we go play in the woods!?"-- I received this question while guiding a trip for a group of youth from a family homeless shelter in Tacoma and was overwhelmed with the true impact I saw in this mission. All that these kids needed, to be reminded of the hope they have, was a weekend of getting to simply explore in nature. These youth who are facing life challenges, anxiety, and adversity beyond what I could imagine, desperately need the opportunity to sit in the joy and awe of getting to play in the woods, or raft a river, or climb a rock. This physical challenge and intentional connection with others, outside of their normal environments and the influence of technology, made such a tangible impact on how these youth viewed themselves and interacted with the creation around them in nature and one another.
