Peer Servants

Najima and her husband live on the outskirts of Kolkata, India.  They were struggling financially as a family - often this meant Najima and her husband didn't eat just to make certain their children could. Najima didn't look for pity - she looked for opportunity.  And that's what she found at CSS, PEER Servants' microfinance partner on the outskirts of Kolkata.  Starting with an initial loan of $50 and lots of encouragement from the fantastic CSS staff, Najima was able to establish a successful concrete septic rings business.  She is now creating employment for eight men, and not only able to take care of her own family, but enable her employees to take care of theirs.

PEER Servants partners with indigenous Christian microfinance institutions similar to CSS around the world.  Together they are currently enabling almost 200,000 active clients to experience economic, social, and spiritual transformation.

PEER Servants uses this crowdfunding website to raise support for this work, including our Annual Walk for Economic Empowerment.  100% of the funds raised through the Walk (held in May or June each year) go to our microfinance partners around the world as they serve the materially poor.  If you'd like to join us, go to http://w4ee.org for all of the information you will need about the Walk and links to sign up.
