People Encouraging People Inc

People Encouraging People is a 40-year old non-profit community based behavioral healthcare corporation providing Maryland residents with a range of services: assertive community treatment, outpatient & intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and residential rehabilitation, and intensive case management. Street outreach to homeless individuals and families is provided in Baltimore City, focused on persons who are chronically homeless and suffering from a severe and persistent mental illness and/or co -occurring substance abuse issues. Specialty services are provided to transitional age youth, people who are deaf, and individuals with forensic or criminal backgrounds. PEP has supportive services that address social determinants of health: affordable housing development and management, feeding programs and food pantries, transportation services and financial management services (including rep payee).

Mission: PEP's mission is to provide exemplary rehabilitation and support services to individuals with psychiatric or other disabling conditions. PEP offers services that are highly individualized and community based and designed to foster a healthy level of interdependence between those individuals and their community.
