Pepper’s Promise

A nonprofit organization

A safe, loving forever home for goats, sheep, and ponies in Glen Mills

What is Pepper's Promise?

Pepper was never supposed to survive. He and his siblings were rejected by their mother at birth and, without help, wouldn't have made it. I couldn't walk away. I brought them home, warming formula on the stove and bottle-feeding them several times a day.

But saving Pepper wasn't the end of the story. It was just the beginning.

Our start on Conchester Highway

Pepper was part of a herd of goats, sheep, and ponies living along Conchester Highway in Chichester. When I found out the animals were going to be sent to auction or slaughter, I stepped in to make sure they stayed safe.

That was the start of Pepper's Promise. A commitment to give these farm animals a safe, loving home and the care they deserve.

Our farm sanctuary today

When the original farm was sold and set to be replaced with a warehouse, we needed a new home. We moved to Bush Hill Farm in Concord Township, where we continue to fulfill our promise today. Now, we're the lifelong home to more than 30 goats, 1 sheep, and 3 ponies, all of whom would have nowhere else to go.

Why donate?

As a small nonprofit, we rely entirely on donations to keep going. Funds raised through Delco Gives will help cover the cost of hay, vet care, and general upkeep for our animals.

I made a promise to Pepper — and every animal after him — that they'd never be forgotten. Now, I'm inviting you to be part of that promise, too.
