Personal Counseling Services, Inc is a non-profit mental health counseling center - part of The Samaritan Institute. Since the founding of PCS in 1959, we have provided more than 530,000 hours of counseling and psychiatric services by offering a caring refuge from the stress or trauma of daily living. Here at PCS, we promote overall well-being, an overall wellness of mind, body, and spirit. 67% of the clients we help are children and adolescents, and 57% of those we serve are at or below the federal poverty guideline.

Who We Are

Since 1959, PCS has provided more than 530,000 hours of counseling and psychiatric services by offering a caring refuge from the stress or trauma of daily living. We continue to care for and assist hurting people to function more effectively and teach life skills to enrich lives. PCS promotes wellness of mind, body and spirit which leads to better performance in life, work and school. Sixty-seven percent (67%) of our clients are children and youth and 57 percent (57%) are at or below the federal poverty guideline.

PCS is unique in offering multi-faceted mental health services including pastoral counseling, individual counseling, couples counseling, and music therapy in the Kentuckiana area. Additionally, we provide psychiatric services as well as clergy and congregational care programs. Our therapists utilize a holistic approach in the counseling they offer while providing affordable mental health services to children, youth, and adults. Our facility is designed to make our clients feel at ease in a home-like environment.
