Pet Allies partners with the City of Show Low Police Department to operate the City's Animal Control Shelter.  Since starting operations at the shelter, October 1, 2012, Pet Allies has not had to euthanize any animals for space.  Animals such as Grady, a 10 year old blind spaniel mix, found at the bottom of a dry lake, have been helped with medical care and placed in loving homes.  Dozens of puppies and hundreds of dogs and cats have been transported to no kill rescue groups to keep the shelter from becoming over-crowded.  Pet Allies partners with over 125 rescue groups to help save the lives of the homeless animals that enter the shelter.

In January of 2013 Pet Allies accepted 121 animals into care, both into foster care and at the Animal Control shelter, a landmark number in one month.

In 2012 Pet Allies altered over 2200 dogs and cats at its spay/neuter Clinic at subsidized low cost prices. The clinic also offers subsidized pricing for vaccines, wellness checks, dentals on a regular basis.  Many clients cannot afford treatment for their pets at full service clinics; they can seek assistance from Pet Allies at its clinic for injuries, minor surgery and many other pet health care requirements.

Pet Allies found homes for over 500 pets in 2012 and anticipates increasing that to 1200 animals in 2013.

We believe we can stop pet over-population in our community.  We have the tools, the skills, the desire and with the help of our supporters and donors, we can make this happen.  Finances are the only thing holding us back! Every donation is used to save lives.
