Their beginning was hard.  We can make it better!

Help secure the reintroduction of orphaned gorillas

Since 2005, 11 infant gorillas arriving in various states of trauma as victims of the bushmeat trade required years of medical, psychological and forest rehabilitation.

In 2009, they were united on an Island (away from humans) to begin the long process of social rehabilitation and to form a stable group as THE crucial step for their reintroduction.

Now, mammal and vegetation surveys are needed to evaluate two promising zones as part of a science-based approach to ensure the safe reintroduction of these gorillas.  These costly surveys require a team of several experts to collect data during several weeks and different seasons of the year.

Your support will allow us to secure the final step of their reintroduction.

As orphaned gorillas who were all taken from their families within their natural environment, they deserve our commitment toward re-establishing the family life they were naturally born into.
