Phoenix Public Library Foundation

A nonprofit organization

We develop relationships and resources supporting Library programs that help all children succeed, provide arts and cultural experiences to the community, and promote individual achievement.

Tax dollars, the Library’s primary funding source, buy books and other materials, pay for utilities, building maintenance and staff salaries.  The Foundation was created in 1997 to raise money for Library programs and services not funded by general tax revenues.  Since 1997, the Foundation has raised more than $3.7 million to support Library programs and services.

The Foundation supports the seventeen libraries of the Phoenix Public Library system by providing reading programs for children and adults; funding programs that help people learn to use technology; providing access to the arts; and furnishing spaces that make for great learning environments.
