As an organization of concerned physicians, nurses, physicians assistants and public health professionals, we are concerned with bringing attention to threats to human life beyond disease. There is only so much that medicine can heal, and that is why it's important to advocate for safety measures that can prevent incredible harm to all.

The prevention of nuclear war was a battle partially won in 1985, when the IPPNW (of which PSR is a member) was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for performing "a considerable service to mankind by spreading authoritative information and by creating an awareness of the catastrophic consequences of atomic warfare." But the battle is not over. Nuclear disarmament is only one step, nuclear abolition is the next goal.

Energy from nuclear reactors also brings about great harm for the public, and should not be used as a 'renewable' source of energy.

Finally, smart and effective climate change policy has the potential to reverse the effects of what is already a world-wide disaster, we take everyday actions to reinforce such policy.

We work to bring attention to, and prevent the devastating effects of, some of the most difficult international policies to date. We are inspired everyday by the actions taken by individuals and collective organizations to improve the state of our globe, and we need your help to continue on this inspirational path.
