There has never been a time when physyics education was more critical.  With new national core standards being developed, this is our moment to ensure that the elemental facts about the relationships and systems supporting life in our city, on our globe, and in our universe are understood and used as decisions and policies that impact the future are implemented.

This critical role depends on well trained physics educators who teach and inspire children in physical sciences from kindergarten through Ph.D. programs.  Your support of AAPT supports the initial training and ongoing professional development of programs for physics teachers in the Greater Washington/Baltimore Area.
