PRBTS/ The Better Way Program

The Better Way Program is in its 21st year of servicing the Washington, DC region, providing a highly structured, confidential abstinence treatment program that concentrates on individual/group counseling, Therapeutic groups,recovery meetings and health education to include HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.  Over the years hundreds of individuals have been sucessful with their recovery because of active participation in the program's curriculum.  Drugs and alcohol are no longer a part of their daily activity.

This qoute obviously resionated with consumers at The Better Way Program as they were sucessful and are able to live drug and alcohol free.

• After 21 years clean, Mr. W is successfully employed and managing a quarter of a million dollar budget.

 

• Nineteen years clean, Mr. T has completed training and has become a Certified Addictions Counselor.

• 2009 was a year when 9 women in The Better Way Program began treatment after their children had been removed from their homes.  By the time the nine month treatment program and graduation were successfully completed, all of the children were returned to their mothers and all of the nine women were employed.

 

Numerous other consumers have successfully completed the nine month intensive outpatient treatment program at The Better Way Program.  They help us to know that the mission of this program is still relivant and that they are empowered to stay in recovery.
