The Pinellas Park (Civic) Orchestra, Inc. is the only orchestra of its kind in the Tampa Bay region.  This all volunteer non profit organization offers educational and performance opportunities for young and less experienced musicians as well as retired and paraprofessionals.  The group interfaces with schools to mentor youth and provide ensemble playing experience to students.

Through weekly practice sessions members experience the joy of playing music from many genres of musical repertoire. The diversity of both the membership and audience provides unique opportunity for community interaction through sing-alongs, "old timey" musicals, newly composed and contemporary works, as well as standard classical repertoire.

Strong community ties and volunteer action have been the trademark of the Pinellas Park Orchestra, Inc. since it formation as the First congregational church of St Petersburg more than fifty years ago. The orchestra moved to Pinellas Park in 1994 following the closing of the church.  In 2008 the City of Pinellas Park invited the orchestra to take residency in the newly opened Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center with a 400 seat auditorium. This facility supports the continued growth and expansion of the orchestra.

The orchestra provides a summer training program for strings in addition to the annual concert season that provides free monthly concerts on the first Sunday of each month from October through April. The orchestra invites everyone to join in the joy and expression of sharing the experience of making beautiful music through this healthy community expression.
