Pioneer Territory Casa

Although CASA is a national organization, Pioneer Territory CASA serving Nye, Mineral and Esmeralda Counties is newly established in Pahrump, a town of almost 40,000 people.  There are almost 100 children in foster care within the Fifth Judicial District. Since we officially opened our doors in February of this year, twenty volunteers have completed 33 hours of training and have been sworn-in.  These volunteers are currnetly serving twenty-five children including sets of siblings.  Without a CASA volunteer, many of these children would languish in the foster care system for years !!  CASA volunteers are welcomed and even revered by the court system as the presense of a CASA volunteer on a case can alleviate some of the work that an attorney would do.  CASA's are compassionate volunteers who act on behalf of the best interest of the child.  We desparately need more CASA volunteers to serve the kids in foster care and that takes time and money.  We need your help to make it happen.
