Pitkin, Eagle, Garfield Damage Prevention Council (PEGDPC) is a distinguished 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2010 with a singular mission: to promote safety, education, and community advancement through the vital message of 'Call 811 B4U Dig'. Committed to safeguarding lives, properties, and critical infrastructure, PEGDPC tirelessly advocates for the awareness and practice of marking buried utility lines before commencing any work.
PEGDPC provides 'Call 811 B4U Dig' safety awareness education to avert potential disasters and preserve the well-being of homeowners and businesses alike. By preventing accidents and injuries, we help save lives and protect the underground utility lines, curbing costly damages and service interruptions.
Moreover, we invest in the future by educating local high school seniors about the critical importance of safety through 'Call 811 B4U Dig' awareness. To nurture academic excellence and empower the youth, we extend scholarships to deserving seniors aged 17 & 18, enabling them to pursue their educational and career aspirations.
Beyond scholarships, PEGDPC opens doors to opportunities for high school students. We introduce them to public utilities, damage prevention, and construction careers, paving the way for lucrative employment prospects within their communities. By fostering knowledge and expertise, we ensure that students can thrive and contribute significantly to their home communities, creating a prosperous and secure future for all.
Join us in our unwavering commitment to safety, education, and community enrichment. We can build a safer, more knowledgeable, and prosperous tomorrow for Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield counties.
