Social Venture Partners (SVP) Pittsburgh is a network of individuals who link our passion and purpose by sharing our skills, time, and resources to support innovative nonprofits in Allegheny County. Together, we can do much more than any one of us can do alone. Each year we select a pressing need for at-risk youth in the community and provide grants and capacity-building assistance to organizationally strengthen the key nonprofits working to alleviate these constraints through our Fall Pitch gr

The annual grant making process engages partners in the process of choosing which nonprofits in the community SVP will invest its funding ($15,000), but more importantly where partners will invest their skills, time, and experience to strengthen a community nonprofit to better sustain its programming. Parters coach finalists on messaging their programs and select a new 'investee' (ii.e. where time and financial resources will be invested) at the Fall Pitch event.
