Pittsburgh Youth Leadership, Inc.

The primary emphasis of Pittsburgh Youth Leadership is to develop, train, supply and lead participants with extremely limited life experience, future vision and life direction on multi-week, cross-country bicycle trips. It has been our experience that offering strenuous, adventurous and demanding outdoor programs has enhanced the future vision of inner-city, low-income, at-risk youth and has produced positive, achievement-oriented young adults.

Pittsburgh Youth Leadership has plans for many strenuous, ambitious and life-changing trips in 2015 which are designed to develop positive youth leadership in our low-income neighborhoods. The major adventure this year is The Epic Journey '" Coast to Coast, in which we will be leading a group of 14 across the United States from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. This opportunity of a lifetime will hopefully increase the future vision of our participants and produce positive, achievement-oriented young adults. Additionally, Pittsburgh Youth Leadership will offer several week-long bicycle trips during the course of the year.
