Planned Parenthood Mar Monte - Northern Nevada

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte's (PPMM) doors are open to everyone, regardless of income. We provide low-cost or free medical care  to those who need it most but are least able to afford services - the unemployed, underemployed, undocumented, uninsured and teens. About 71% of PPMM's patients have incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level. Medical services provided at our Northern Nevada health center in Reno include all FDA-approved contraception; cancer screenings (breast, cervical and testicular); well-woman exams; pregnancy testing; adoption counseling; diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); and transgender services. PPMM serves women, men, teens and children.

We also provide a broad range of health education and community outreach programs. The sexuality and family-life education programs are comprehensive, medically accurate, age-appropriate and known for being innovative and effective. In both our education programs and at our health centers, PPMM emphasizes preventing unintended pregnancies and STDs. In all cases, we promote responsible attitudes, behaviors and communication related to sexuality and health.
