Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida Inc

In our health centers throughout Tampa Bay, we ensure the right of all individuals to manage their sexual and reproductive health by providing medical services, education and advocacy. 

We're very excited to be opening a new Health Center in Tampa this year! It will join our current facility on North 56th Street to help us better care for our patients in the city, and to make our services more accessible. 

But no matter what we say, we can't say it better than our patients. Here's what Stephanie has to say:

"You’ve never met me, but you’re helping me make my dreams come true.

I know that sounds impossible, but your support of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida has given me the tools I need to pursue the life I’ve always dreamed of.

Ever since I was young, I’ve wanted to travel, to see and change the world. I want to be able to jump on a plane or in my car when opportunities come. So, I decided that I need a birth control well suited for someone who likes to pack a bag and go from one adventure to another, one that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance – and one that lasts.

As you can imagine, not a lot of people believed me when I told them I don’t want children, that I have different dreams for myself. However, the people at Planned Parenthood helped me decide exactly which kind of birth control I wanted. They explained all of the options and they trusted me to decide. Of course, they wanted to know all about my travels and invited me to start volunteering, too!

But, they trusted me and helped me get an IUD. That means I can plan my next trip—I’m hoping to go to Cuba next—and know that the only thing I have to worry about is what to pack!
