Through every round of Medicaid "defunding" battles, Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri has kept its promise to provide patients with care regardless of age, race, gender, income, zip code, or insurance status.  As the Missouri legislature again attempts to "defund" Planned Parenthood through the state's Medicaid program, we are prepared to keep our doors open for Medicaid patients, no matter what. Annually, 20-25% of our patients rely on Medicaid, and are susceptible to political attacks on the already-fragile health care safety net. We are relying on the support of private philanthropy to meet this gap. A gift to Planned Parenthood through Give STL Day will go straight to our Patient Equity Funds, to ensure we can continue providing Care, No Matter What.

We are not backing down in Missouri and we persevere with an unwavering commitment to the patients and communities we serve. Patients are relying on Planned Parenthood for access to vital services such as sexual health education, STI testing & treatment, well-person exams, contraception, vasectomy, gender-affirming care, and so much more.
