Plastic Oceans International

Plastic Oceans Foundation is an international charitable organization that aims to change the world’s attitude toward plastic in a single generation, and to that end, the Foundation produced the film A Plastic Ocean to spread the message around the world, about the impact of plastic on our oceans and human health.

Plastic pollution is a global issue and Plastic Oceans Foundation—through the power of film and partnerships with local community organizations—is helping consumers to become plastic literate, so they can make informed decisions about how and when they accept and manage plastic. The goal is to help shape future demand for environmentally sensitive products and solutions.

#AWaveofChange Campaign - The first step to solving is understanding the problem. Through this specific platform, we are crowdfunding to help take our film and educational toolkits to Spanish speaking countries by adding Spanish subtitles and translating our educational materials so we can distribute the film and tools to Spanish speaking countries in Latin America.  

We are asking shools in the US that want to screen the film to help us reach our goal of $10,000 by fundraising within their social networks.
