Pocatello Firefighters Public Assistance Funds Inc

Pocatello firefighters have long recognized that there are
some situations that require more than the standard response of a hose line or a bandage.  The Public Assistance Fund was organized to help in these unusual situations.  Be it groceries for a diabetic, gas or auto parts for a stranded motorist, a taxi ride home from the emergency room, or a
fan or space heater for an elderly couple, the Fund has been a means for directly helping people with immediate needs. 
In emergencies the fund has been used to provide lodging vouchers for victims of fires or other disasters.  It has also been used to replace items used or lost by a Good Samaritan in the course of giving aid.  

Pocatello Firefighters also donate time and services to such causes as MDA camps, Paintfest, Relay for Life, local foodbanks, and the local United Way.
