Poetry Society of New Hampshire

Poetry Society of New Hampshire (PSNH) is an all-volunteer organization
that was incorporated in 1966 and granted non-profit status
soon after. We have been supporting poets and poetry in NH and the surrounding communities for almost 60 years (!) with an all-volunteer board through as many means possible, including:

• 
  Programming: PSNH provides direct support through events and workshops (in-person and virtual), festivals, contests, and more!


• 
  Our journal, Touchstone : PSNH's journal, Touchstone, provides opportunities for NH poets to showcase their work!  Touchstone has been published multiple times a year for decades, and continues to evolve - it now showcases poetry from broader communities (while maintaining a strong support and focus on NH poets!), includes artwork from community artists, and now has an audio version!  To promote Touchstone, we have interviews with the poets and artists, and virtual and in-person events.

  Promotion of all things poetry in NH: PSNH has worked hard to establish a presence for poetry through soliciting and promoting all poetry-related events around the state and region, through our continuously-improving website, and various social media (Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).  We also provide promotions for workshops, contests, submissions, book releases, festivals, and anything poetry that will enhance the lives and work of NH poets.

  NH State Poet Laureate:  PSNH directly coordinates the NH State Poet Laureate nomination and selection process, and works closely with the appointed laureate to help provide promotional and financial support, as well as event coordination and collaboration. 

And we do this all with no paid staff! We are all volunteers here, supporting poetry and poets in the community - YOUR community.  But, in order to continue to meet our mission and goals, as outlined below, and to provide support for poetry in NH,  WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Please consider making as generous a donation as you can to ensure that we can continue our good work giving a voice and space for poetry in NH!
