Poppy Foundation

In 1995 an aboandoned cat named Poppy was found in a trailer park. She had a very pronounced head tilt and was in need of some food, shelter and love. After running some tests we discovered Poppy suffered from feline aids. Knowing she could live a happy life with the disease we decided to let her live at the hospital. She was the unofficial greeter to all who entered. Poppy lived with us and started to make a name for herself. Clients would come in and ask about her and some would leave money for her care. She was a superstar. In September, 2001 we discovered a tumor in front of her heart. We lost our beautiful girl on September 20, 2001. She is gone but will never be forgotten. In 2007, in honor of Poppy we started The Poppy Foundation so that we could help other cats like her.

Thank you for taking the time to read about the amazing Poppy. We now house 150 cats, most of which are not adoptable and will like at the foundation for the remainer of their lives. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
