BESP is accomplished in school, after school, in two-hour sessions twice a week, each student, proceeding at their own pace through explicitly structured mentoring. Students learn how to learn, halftime on the computer, halftime on the workbook, through four learning modules each two-hour session.

When a student gets “stuck,” cannot proceed, in this Basic Education for Social Participation (BESP) mode, they go to the Integrated Practice Protocol (IPP) lab where they experience all manner of physical and psychological challenges to assess, diagnose, treat and clear their learning blocks.

Once cleared, the student returns to the BESP class to complete the four learning modules, acquiring sufficient learning to rejoin regular classes and graduate from high school.

The success of the BESP/IPP method of “Learning How to Learn,” has been clearly indicated with previous applications, but not sufficiently documented for widespread application.   This demonstration will be documented, daily by mentors and consultants, weekly by their classroom teachers, monthly by their parent’s impressions.

Tiny in scale, just 20 students in two classes of 10 each, twice a week, in school, after school, over the school year, there will be enough evidence leading to many more successful BESP/IPP tests and eventually nationwide application.
