Positive Pedalers

The Positive Pedalers ("PosPeds") are a nationwide group of highly committed people, striving to build a supportive and inclusive community via cycling connected activities. Our mission and public persona, as the Positive face of HIV Positive people everywhere, strives to empower HIV positive people everywhere to live their most powerful and meaningful lives. 

Our Guiding Principles are to:

1. Expand awareness and recognition of people living with HIV/AIDS.
2. Encourage active participation of members and supporters in the work of the group.
3. Actively participate in HIV/AIDS cycling related events.
4. Advocate awareness and empowerment of people living with HIV/AIDS.
5. Maintain outreach to members, supporters and the HIV/AIDS community.

Imagine the stigma and shame people are confronted with because of the lack of education about HIV. Stigma seeks to silence voices, when they most need to be heard. Lifesaving treatments and services are better than ever and the faces of the PosPeds are shedding light in the dark places of public shame, where silence cannot exist. PosPeds knows that there is power in riding together; that an orange PosPeds flag placed on their bike is a beacon to others, and for themselves, that HIV cannot and does not define who they are. And, every PosPeds t-shirt worn provides greater exposure on a cause that we must never forget and people we will always remember…now and forever.

We would like to continue our efforts to be visible by giving out our exclusively designed PosPeds’ t-shirt at no cost.  Every donation of $10 will help us achieve that goal.  From 1995 to 2024, the Positive Pedalers continue to celebrate the power of inclusiveness and togetherness and your donations help us keep the mission alive.

Thanks to the Positive Pedaler's Board of Directors donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to a maximum of $2,650.
