Power Packs Project is a nonprofit organization in Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties dedicated to ending hunger in our local schools over the weekend, when free school breakfasts and lunches aren’t available.
Every week, our participants receive a Power Pack - a fresh recipe, all the ingredients to make that meal, pantry staples like cereal or peanut butter, and local fresh items like milk and produce.
Our Mission Statement: We empower families with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so their children return to school fed and ready to learn.
Our Impact:
Power Packs provided more than 519,437 meals in the previous school year and summer programs. We’re on track to beat that number this year.
Over 5,975 volunteer hours went into helping us meet our mission. From working in the office on admin projects, to packing and delivering boxes, we can’t do it without our amazing volunteers!
During previous school year + summer programs, we have served over 58,000 children right in our backyard!
Power Packs Project (PPP) is a nonprofit fighting food insecurity in South Central Pennsylvania. We partner with eligible families to provide food and nutritional education so that families are empowered and children thrive. Families in the program are taught how to stretch their limited food dollars using the food provided by PPP. The goal of the program is to euip families to regularly provide healthy meals and that children return to school, well-fed and ready to learn. Power Packs provides long-term solutions to end childhood hunger.
