Maryland’s infant mortality rate is worse than countries like Croatia.

Why is this happening?

A variety of factors influence this rate: SIDS, poor nutrition, lack of prenatal care, and lack of baby care education all are contributing factors.

The Pregnancy Clinic meets these needs:

Free prenatal vitamins: preventing birth defects and effects of poor nutrition by providing vitamins in the earliest weeks of pregnancy

Free pregnancy tests,  ultrasounds, counseling, and referrals for early prenatal care to help foster healthy prenatal outcomes

Free educational classes: giving women and men the tools they need to help their families thrive

Free STD/HIV testing and treatment options for women to live healthier lives

The Pregnancy Clinic understands that each woman’s journey with pregnancy, parenting, and other life choices is just beginning. We’re by her side with free classes, community referrals, and ongoing counselor support, for as long as she needs us.

Our LifeSense Educational Classes address a variety of topics such as Healthy Pregnancy, Baby Basics, Faithful Fathers, Budgeting, and life skills classes such as Healthy Relationships, and Understanding Your Body. All totally free. And, since we know it can be tough starting out, pregnant women who complete three of our classes receive a free starter layette full of baby clothes, diapers, wipes, and other essentials to help in those early months.Know someone who could use a class?
