Success Stories

Steve went his whole life eating smoothies at every meal because he didn’t know how to cook. In came Barbara DiClemente, Family Support Specialist, from PSA IN COMMUNITY to help. She taught him the basics of cooking and Steve flourished. He went from boiling water to slicing and dicing for shrimp ceviche. He learned to read recipes, grocery shop and prepare healthy meals independently. Steve also will be travelling to visit family and will be preparing the turkey dinner. Now that’s progress!

From a mom with a youth in PSA Art Awakenings, "I truly believe your organization, with its kind loving and compassionate staff have helped my daughter find her own talent and I believe you helped save her life."

From a mother in Tucson utilizing Youth Respite, "Respite Care is a great resource to have, it gives me available hours that I do not have during the week, my daughter really loves going out to do the different activities.  It really has helped me a lot especially when other family members are not available to help."

“Art Awakenings gives me hope and insight to deal with my mental & physical problems. The program offers wonderful instruction & means to learn techniques. It offers ways to express myself, be myself and learn new ways to deal with symptoms that I have. It also has increased some of my coping skills.”  Anonymous Bisbee Artist
