Local Non-Profit PEOPLE WHO CARE's vision is for all of the residents residing in Prescott, Chino Valley and Yarnell/Weaver Mountain Areas of Arizona, who are not able to drive due to physical limitations, to be living safely and independently in their own homes and communities for as long as safely possible.

For 22 years, local non-profit PEOPLE WHO CARE has helped adults in our community, no longer able to drive due to physical limitations, to continue living independently.  We work to connect volunteers with 'neighbors', providing personalized door to door critical transportation * shopping assistance (shopping with neighbors, or shopping for our homebound neighbors)* Helping with Personal Paperwork/Low Vision Assistance* Friendly Phoning and Visiting*  Low Vision and Low Hearing Courses * Minor Home Repair & Home Safety Help * Caregiver Respite Assistance * and Emergency Call Units.  ALL OF OUR ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO OUR NEIGHBORS, through the generosity of our amazing volunteers and our generous financial donors!  We have a small but mighty paid staff that stretches every dollar and every day to manage and coordinate the training of volunteers, the intake of eliglble adults for assistance, the matching of volunteers to neighbors, and the scheduling and management of all of our volunteer assistance!  We have a Board of Directors that are ALL active, unpaid volunteers!  We currently endeavor to assist adults in Prescott, Chino Valley, and the Yarnell and surrounding areas ("Weaver Mountains").  As social services for seniors, disabled and low income are cut, stressed and unable to help all those in need, NON PROFITS such as PEOPLE WHO CARE step in to serve critical community needs.  As those in rural areas struggle with insufficient or no public transportation and essential services, NON PROFITS such as PEOPLE WHO CARE step in to provide critical assistance.  The more you donate and volunteer, the more PEOPLE WHO CARE can help those in our community!  PLEASE CALL US TODAY AT (928) 445-2480 TO DISCUSS OUR FLEXIBLE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES, TO DONATE, OR FOR ASSISTANCE!
