Presque Isle ProMusica

The mission of the Presque Isle ProMusica, continuing in the great tradition of Bruce Morton Wright's Erie Chamber Orchestra, is to make orchestral and ensemble music, played by local musicians, available FREE to audiences in Erie's downtown and beyond.  The PIP programs music from classical favorites to memorably marvelous composers, old and new, sometimes those that almost no one has ever heard of.  We seek to delight, educate and challenge our audiences with large and small groups of players and varied programs to appeal to eclectic tastes. The years of the pandemic wrought great hardship on performers and audience alike, and the PIP aims to bring to both of them enjoyment and hope and the solidarity of a community gathered around beautiful music - for everyone.  No tickets are ever sold for performances; the PIP relies on grants, advertising revenue, and, mainly, contributions from those who are able to give, for the sake of those who are not.
