Do you know that than 570,000 people will die from cancer this year? That’s more than one person every minute, every day, according to the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). 

• One out of every two men will be diagnosed with cancer in his lifetime.
• One out of every three women will be diagnosed with cancer in her lifetime.

Prevent Cancer Foundation is the only national, nonprofit health foundation whose mission is the prevention and early detection of cancer through research, education and community outreach to all populations, including children and the underserved. Our vision is to Stop Cancer Before It Starts! 

Are you aware that approximately 50% of all cancers and cancer deaths can be prevented by changing personal behaviors?  The majority of cancer deaths are due to preventable risks such as tobacco use, obesity, alcohol consumption, not getting screened, and infectious agents, such as the viruses that cause cervical and liver cancer.  We focus on those cancers—including lung, breast, prostate, colorectal, cervical, skin, oral and testicular—that can be prevented through lifestyle changes or detected and treated in early stages. 

Here are a couple of examples of how the Prevent Cancer Foundation will put your gift to work:

• $50      1 woman screened for cervical cancer at Celebremos la vida!
• $250    2 mammograms or 5 women screened for cervical cancer at Celebremos la vida!
• $500    2 months of medical supplies for breast and cervical cancer screenings at
