Our Mission:

To increase the public’s awareness of the natural world as both a health-enhancing resource and a delicate ecosystem by providing educational resources and encouraging diversity in the outdoor industry.

2021 has been a successful year for our young foundation.  We provided our first professional education scholarship and completed a short documentary about the air pollution dilemma along the Wasatch.  The film is called AWAiRE and we are excited to share it with the community this November 5th!

In 2022, Prival foundation aims to complete three distinct community initiatives.  First, we will be providing three mountain professional education scholarships. This will allow career driven individuals to complete the requirements needed to instruct avalanche education courses and begin their path towards guiding individuals in backcountry and mountainous terrain. Second, now that our foundation has completed the AWAiRE film about air pollution and environmental injustice, we are planning to use the film as a talking piece for community involvement with grassroots campaigning as well as for primary and secondary schools to use as part of their environmental literacy curriculum.  Finally, our team has embarked on a new mountain community film project to highlight the innerworkings of dark sky pollution and the future of Dark Skies Cities. Please see our funding breakdown and help these projects succeed.

Educational Grant Funding Needed:  $5,000

AWAIRE Distribution Funding Needed: $10,000

Dark Skies Film For Initial Production: $20,000

AWAiRE: What's Beneath The Clouds is a powerful look at the disproportionate effects of Utah's poor air quality through the stories of local Utahns. This film is an excellent tool for environmental injustice education and community engagement. Join us on Friday, November 5th at Wasatch Park City from 5:30 - 7:30 PM for a free screening of AWAiRE.

This film premieres at a crucial moment; recent reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) show that the choices we make now will significantly affect the future of our climate.

Directed by Jack Hessler, Produced by Mark Long and Tony Pavlantos.
